To preserve and protect Pensacola's heritage through advocacy, education and comunity development.
Objectives
In order to carryout its mission; the Heritage Foundation establishes the following objectives.
Historic Preservation
To diligently monitor and investigate the potential destruction, in whole or in part, of significant historical structures, lands or streetscapes and, where necessary, intervene to preserve these community assets.
To encourage, recognize and assist individuals and/or organizations that preserve, through rehabilitation, reconstruction and reuse, significant historical structures, lands or streetscapes.
To encourage and participate in the adoption if reasonable requirements, rules and regulations which encourage and/or require the practice of historic preservation methods and standards.
To support and conduct programs which preserve the human history of the area.
